Chinese Lunar Date to Gregorian Date Converter

How to read it

A Chinese lunar date cannot be converted by replacing the month and day with Gregorian numbers. Lunar months begin on astronomical calendar boundaries, usually contain 29 or 30 days, and a year can include an extra leap month. This tool checks the selected lunar fields against the same Chinese-calendar conversion data used by the forward converter.

Enter the related lunar year, the numbered month from 1 to 12, and the lunar day from 1 to 30. Select leap month only when the original record explicitly marks that month as intercalary. If the chosen day or leap month does not exist in that year, the tool returns no date instead of silently changing the input.

The complete reverse-conversion range is 1901 through 2099. The official tables include Gregorian dates through 2100, but the lunar year 2100 continues into 2101; it is therefore excluded rather than presented as a complete year. The Gregorian result uses the civil ISO date and does not apply a chart method's separate Li Chun year boundary.

A recurring lunar birthday falls on a different Gregorian date in different years. To find a birthday anniversary for another year, keep the lunar month, day, and leap status but select the target lunar year. A birthday recorded in a leap month needs special care because not every year has that leap month.

For a Destin Field chart, use the Gregorian date written in the birth record when it is available. This converter is useful when the source record is lunar only. It performs calendar conversion, not a personality reading, compatibility score, or forecast.
